Journal Data: We collect and store your journal entries, mood data, and chat conversations with Melo AI to provide and improve our emotional journaling service.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the App, including features used and engagement metrics.
Device Information: We collect device type, operating system version, and app version for analytics and troubleshooting.
Communication Data: If you contact us via email, we retain your message and contact information to respond to your inquiry.
We use your information for the following purposes:
• To provide and maintain the App's functionality, including journaling, mood tracking, and AI companion chat.
• To personalize your experience and deliver insights based on your journal entries and mood patterns.
• To communicate with you regarding account updates, technical notices, and support requests.
• To improve our services through analytics and usage pattern analysis.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties. Your journal data is private and never shared with other users.
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Supabase (Google Cloud infrastructure, Singapore region). We implement the following security measures:
• Encryption in transit: All API communications use TLS/SSL.
• Access control: Only authenticated users can access their own data. Our team members have restricted, audited access.
• Password hashing: Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plaintext.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
We may share your information with:
• Supabase (PostgreSQL database) — for user management and data storage.
• DeepSeek AI — for processing AI companion chat responses (your messages are sent to DeepSeek's API to generate replies).
• Aliyun SMTP — for sending verification and password reset emails.
We require all third parties to respect your privacy and comply with applicable data protection laws. These services are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to us.
We may disclose your information if required by law or in good faith that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect our rights, or protect the safety of our users.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data.
